Alright… so I spent like 8 hours yesterday in an open casting call for this movie I’m involved with. We got through over 180 auditions which I felt was pretty good. We’ll have three more down in LA/Hollywood and hopefully one more here in Bako. So, maybe your wondering what the heck I’m talking about… which I’m sure you are, not many people know. Most everyone who knows me knows that I DJ and play a few instruments, not to many people know about my passion for film making. Maybe a few… or at least my family. Well, now you do!
So I like making movies. Ever since I was a kid I loved to make movies with my dad’s camcorder. I loved being in them, I loved making them. In high school a good friend of mine started the film club in my high school and all him and I ever talked about was film. I took every opportunity I could in High School to do video projects and every time scored a 100%. I just always had a nack for it. What I would do to get my hands on some of those tapes… I would give anything to have some of those today, they all got lost or taped over at some point.
Anyway, so here I am today. I’m working on this independent film called “Stamped!” about a few teenagers in school and their misadventures… kind of a Breakfast Club movie. Anyway, I’m the Director of Photography, in case you don’t know what that is, it’s the guy in charge of the cinematography, camera work, artistic feel, and just plain making the movie look good. It’s my favorite part of film making.
Anyway, yeah… so I’ll be pretty busy this Summer with that and a few other projects as well. So, I guess that’s it for now.
