Any Ticket… Any Time! | TV Commercial

Any Ticket, Any Time, Any Event, Any Where… That is the message Pete at Pete’s Seats wanted to convey. We thought this was the perfect opportunity for some 3D composting. We where sort of going for a iPod commercial meets ESPN.

In a World… | TV Commercial

In a world where bad things happen to good people…. This commercial was pretty much a good excuse to put a cute little bulldog puppy in an MGM logo. I presented the idea to Vince over at Bad Dog Bail Bonds and he loved it! A couple days later, this is what we came up with.

Kara & Scott | Wedding Film

We were recently able to be part of a wedding that featured some of the most amazing flowers, table settings, decorations, lighting, etc. There was so much candy you would have thought that a “Sweet Factory” had just exploded in the reception hall. So many details, great and small, made this an amazing event. Chyrill at Sandrini Concepts really out did herself at Kara & Scott’s Wedding. Not to mention all the hard work that Brenna at Seven Oaks put into this event to make it what it was!

Stamped! Trailer

One year ago today will mark the first day of shooting of “Stamped!”. Looking back, I still can’t believe we pulled it off! Well, it’s finally in the last stages of post-production and is very close to getting my “stamp” of approval (pun intended). For those who have no idea what I’m talking about, I have been heavily invoved with the production of a feature film entitled “Stamped!” with writer/director Bryce Hatch, over the last year. I had the pleasure of being involved with many of the stages of this film, from casting, to some of the more technical aspects such as cinematography, sound mixing, gaffing, editing, color grading, to supervising music and producing the movie trailer. It’s been a wild ride to say the least! I’m very lucky to have had the opportunity to have worked with Bryce, helping to bring his vision to life. Enjoy the trailer!

Molly & Scott | Wedding Film

I think the most difficult challenge with this wedding was trying to decide which shots to use in the Highlights section, there were just too many interesting and beautiful shots to choose from. The location, weather, it was all perfect that day for shooting. It was great working with Molly and Scott, they put a lot of trust in us and allowed us to take some chances with their video, all of which payed off, big time!

Hourglass Kitchen & Bar | TV Commercial

This is the latest commercial we did for Hourglass Kitchen & Bar. We filmed it in a couple hours, and with only one continuous take. We were able to do this with our Steadicam. It made such a huge difference between it and other commercials. We had a pretty good idea of what we wanted for the commercial, but didn’t really finalize the style and concept until we got back to the office and started editing. In the end, the client liked it and so did we!

Steadicam Training in Hollywood

Wow, what an eventful week! I had the pleasure of spending the last 4 days down in Hollywood doing some training. It was a blast, I took my wife and kids with me and got to do some fun things with them on my off time, like the L.A. Zoo, La Brea Tar Pits, Hollywood Blvd, etc. I also got to attend the Cinegears Expo on the Universal Studios backlot.

The main reason for the trip was to get Steadicam training from Steadicam themselves. It was a BLAST and I learned so much. I’m really excited to use these new skills on future productions. While I was there I got to meet the man himself, Garret Brown, the inventor of the Steadicam system. He also happens to be or world renown cinematographer and Academy Award winner! He was kind enough to let me snap a picture with him and even offer me a few tips! Just a little side information, the rig I’m wearing (Steadicam with 35mm Movie Camera) is worth significantly more than what my house was worth at the hight of the real-estate market boom.

Katie & Saul | Love Story

This “Love Story” was a lot of fun to shoot… like, really really fun! We here in downtown Bakersfield at our very own building before heading off to Ventura. It was great having a cool change of scenery. Saul and Katie were great to film with and made it easy to get what we needed without having to stress out. In fact Saul was helpful and inspired a couple of the finished shots in the video. In the end they played it at there wedding on a 8 foot rear projection screen, and it turned out great and was a huge hit!

Molly & Scott | Love Story

I must say, this was one of the most scenic locations we have ever shot at! Big Sur was well worth the drive, the beach was just beautiful and seemed like something from a movie, making it an ideal location for Molly & Scott’s Engagement Shoot. They where a fun couple to shoot as it wasn’t hard for them to relax and just be themselves. I hope to return to that location in the near future to shoot again! Check back soon for their Wedding Highlights!
